Hiking, camping, and breathtaking views
There’s a robust network of trail systems throughout the Berkshire Mountains including many family friendly hikes. The Appalachain Trail system passes just 15min from the property and 30min from Mt Greylock the highest point in Massachusetts that has plenty of hiking and camping opportunities. This same trail network is open in the winter to snow showing and cross country skiing.
Fishing
Partridge Hill is located under 10min from Ashmere lake, a 217 acre freshwater lake offering great fishing for pickerel, yellow perch, black crappie, pumpkinseed, brown bullhead, white suckers and golden shiners, white perch and northern pike.
Larger lakes within 30min drive include Onota Lake (617 acres) and Pontoosuc Lake (480 acres).
If you prefer fishing for trout, there are numerous spring creeks within miles of the property in addition to the trout stocked Housatonic River with 30min. If you’re looking for world class fishing, the Deerfield and Westfield Rivers (featured in the book “places to fly fish before you die) is under an hour from the property.

Hunting at Partridge Hill Lodge
Nestled on 40 secluded acres neighbored on two sides by the Middlefield State Forest WMA (3667 acres) and one side by a timber trust. Frequent wildlife viewings on the property include deer, turkey, moose, black bear, pheasant, grouse, woodcock, bobcat, fox, and numerous song birds. The property has a trail system affording hunting of all types of wildlife.
Partridge Hill is located less than five minutes down the road from of Massachusetts’ largest Wildlife Management Areas (14,500 acres) called The Hinsdale Flats. The area offers phenomenal upland hunting in addition to turkey, deer, bear, and waterfowl hunting. During hunting season, the area is stocked with ring neck pheasants 2-3 times per week by the local game department. The Flats is a perfect place to bring your dogs and work the fields.
